If Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of the wines then Pinot Noir is the black prince. It is lighter, it is darker and sometimes it is better. You will see it why.

This is the main ingredient in Burgundy wines. Sometimes shouldn't be consumed within 15-20 years. Pinto Noir can be cheaper, but very expensive as well. Black cherry aroma is usual as spicy and rosemary too. Very diverse wine can be produce from the grape. Different country by country.

Alsace, France offers you a special one: Pinot Noir Rouge. Same character but should drink at 45 Fahrenheit. Another great wine from French winery is Tortoise Creek Pinot Noir. It has typical cherry flavor. Many Pinot Noir is also used for Champagne making. Great material for sparkling wines as well.

Late Burgundian as Germans called it. A nice, average price wine is Undine Pinot Noir white a touch of a plum.

New Zealand not just about sunshine. Many cloudy and foggy days are there. That's why they planted many Pinot Noir. Due to cooler climate they also make premium wines such as Amisfield Pinot Noir. This fruit-driven wine a great gift as well. It has mocca and spicy flavors.

Best know about Pinot Noir is California, but Oregon is on the second place. Silver medal state has excellent Pinot Noirs because it has almost the same, cooler climate like France region, Burgundy. One of the great unique wines is Henry Estate Pinot Noir. Its cherry and vanilla flavor is unforgettable. Willamette Valley has beautiful landscape. A must see with great vineyards.

As the mentioned cooler Burgundy region Russian River has the same. Pacific weather and foggy days are great for the grape and it comes out the good result as Kenwood Russian River Pinot Noir too. It is from the marvelous year of 2006.
